Environment & Sustainability

Our aim is to reduce the environmental impact of our activities, as a form of respect for the territory in which we operate and to promote a real change, because the struggle against climate change and pollution also needs the contribution of companies.

Environment

We would all live in amore sustainably way and make environmentally friendly choices. We have always been a concrete example of sustainability for giving a "green" footprint to our entire production process.
We are committed to preserving the territory, respecting the rhythm of the seasons and the needs of crop varieties: the land is cyclically rotated with maize. We guarantee respect for the environment, minimizing the impact of our activities on nature and on society. Care for the Environment interests everyone,no one excluded.

National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise

We are responsible for the protection, health and well-being of the environment and local biodiversity, made meaningful by the presence of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise. The rich variety of floral and faunal species makes it one of the most interesting and visited parks in Italy. It is a place of protection of the most typical and best preserved environments of the whole Apennines.

Green Energy

We use renewable sources to produce "sustainable" energy starting from agricultural wastes and crops put in place to make the land rotation (maize). We have also reduced the environmental impact of our productions to zero.

Natural Fertilizers

In the digester of the biomass plant, a large number of bacteria degrades the organic substance:beside thebiogas for energy production, another important product of degradation is the digestate, which is used as a natural fertilizer in farm crops. By doing thatWe have drastically reduced the use of fertilizers.

Biomass Plant

Since 2010 , in our factory in Ortucchio (AQ) it is active a biomass plant which is fed processing by-products to produce green energy: this waste is subjected to controlled anaerobic fermentation for the production of biogas that is converted into electricity to be yield to the national network.

Circular Economy

We have created an economic system that guarantees environmental sustainability. More sustainable production processes help the environment, the citizen, but also the company itself will benefit from this virtuous practice. We were finalistsin the competition "Stories of Circular Economy" 2018.

Packaging

Reusable packagingis returned to the supplier whenever possible or recycled if necessary by carrying out an appropriate differentiated collection.

Waste Disposal

We are committed to reduce the impact of waste on the environment: we optimize the recovery and processing by-products and differentiate waste.

Water

We do act in a responsible manner with investments made on efficiency and sustainability in order to make the best use of water resources in terms of recycling and purification.

Short Distance from Processing Plant

In the Fucino area our crops are within 50km from processing place , in order to reduce the impact of transport on the surrounding environment

Organic Products

The production of organic products eliminates the use of fertilizers

Human Resources from the Territory

Our staff is focused on our customers. We guarantee a safe work environment and invest in recruiting and maintaining the best human resources, as far as possible from the surrounding areas, through our complete training and development program.

Social Balance
